120 Good Things & More

Our Sarah Smith collection of Pattern Print textiles is roaring at the moment and word is spreading. New connections include Big Green Shop & Guardian Ecostore.

We have just shipped our first order to Ireland and then

Nanette Merrill of Utah left a comment on the Sarah Smith blog asking if we ship to the US...

Full story here at the Sarah Smith blog.

If you build it they will come!

Keep One Eye On The Horizon

I'm writing this on the Eurostar en route to Lille. Partly because I can and partly because travel gives me time to think and stare at the horizon.

The thing about the horizon is that it is always renewing in your line of sight and always marching relentlessly towards you.

It is the same in business. Issues that were remote and to be dealt with another day are suddenly upon you wreaking havoc and derailing your carefully crafted plans.

So whatever your business, whether big or small, Keep One Eye on The horizon and learn the art of the tactical swerve when ugly disruptions charge towards you.

Good Things

Five good things that happened as Severn Delta passed its fifth birthday:

1. An interview this morning by Alex Bellinger for SmallBizPod

2. This fantastic piece on Sarah Smith at Print & Pattern

3. Our new Fairtrade range hitting the market, in particular with the help of Ethical Superstore, Natural Collection and Waitrose

4. First three orders shipped to customers in Japan. Including Sarah Smith to PlazaStyle

5. First order received today for a piece of NPD put together to open up a completely new retail channel.

If 2008 carries on in that vein I shall be happy.
